During school I was inspired by all the developments I have seen at conventions on sustainability and transparency. But he did miss a very interesting and important part that wasn’t very highlighted. Together with Reinier van der Aart he started talking about more transparency in the cotton industry. Comparing the three biggest production countries at that time with each other.
The plan was to go to America, China and Indonesia to visit several plantations. The end product of this project would be a semi-educational book, an exposition with an 360 degrees viewing of a movie shot during the travels and the portraits and photo’s shot by Reinier van der Aart (RVDA).
Too bad the crowdfunding wasn’t successful and the project landed in the cabinet, waiting to be fulfilled.
During this project I learned a lot and still use a lot of the influences of this project in my work.
